Women's empowerment is important for achieving social justice. Women and girls often face violence, discrimination and other forms of oppression because of their gender. Empowering women can help create a more just and equitable society for everyone. The empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important end in itself. The present paper is an attempt to highlight the contribution of Mr. Sharadchandra Pawar in women empowerment in Maharashtra. Only secondary data was collected from various resources for the research. It is concluded that, TheSharadchandra Pawar made a great contribution to the overall development of women by establishing the Women's Reservation, Women Commission and the Women and Child Welfare Department. Women were given jobs in the defense sector due to Mr. Pawar. He has played a significant role in the improvement of women's education and health, especially in rural areas.
