Plectranthusamboinicus (Lour.) Spreng. is a perennial herb belonging to the family Lamiaceae which occurs naturally throughout the tropics and warm regions of Africa, Asia and Australia. The various bioactive compounds present in P.amboinicus is used for various ailments.
