Nutritional labeling in hotel restaurants has emerged as a crucial tool for influencing guest choices and improving health outcomes. This study explores the impact of clear, comprehensive nutritional information on restaurant menus, focusing on how such labeling affects consumer decision-making and overall well-being. By analyzing a sample of hotel restaurants that implemented detailed nutritional labels, the research evaluates shifts in guest preferences, dining choices, and their corresponding health outcomes. The findings indicate that nutritional labels significantly alter guest behavior, leading to healthier food choices and increased awareness of dietary content. Restaurants that provided transparent and easily understandable nutritional information observed a notable decrease in the consumption of high-calorie and high-fat items, while healthier options saw an increase in popularity. This shift not only benefits guests by promoting better dietary practices but also contributes to improved long-term health outcomes, such as reduced incidences of obesity and related chronic conditions. Additionally, the study highlights the challenges and limitations associated with implementing nutritional labeling, including the need for accurate and user-friendly information, and the impact on restaurant operations. The results underscore the importance of integrating nutritional labeling as a standard practice in the hospitality industry to support healthier dining habits and enhance public health. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, restaurant managers, and health advocates seeking to leverage nutritional information as a strategic tool for promoting healthier eating behaviors in hotel dining environments.
