Abstract

The Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, was a landmark legislation ensuring free and compulsory education for children in India. However, over the years, various challenges have emerged, necessitating reforms for effective implementation. This paper critically examines the gaps in the RTE Act and suggests policy recommendations to enhance its impact. Key areas of focus include curriculum development, teacher training, infrastructure improvements, and inclusion of marginalized communities. By analyzing empirical data and reviewing existing literature, the study highlights the need for a dynamic and adaptive education policy that aligns with global best practices.
