Role of MGNREGA in Rural Development

Abstract

India is a country of villages because around 908.8 million people in India live in the rural areas in 2022. And most of the population depends upon agriculture for their livelihood. MGNREGA has been playing a vital role in reducing poverty and providing social security to rural households by guaranteeing 100 days of employment per year. MGNREGA started in 2005 by the government of India.
