MARKETING OF ECO-FRIENDLY FOOD AND BEVERAGES AND ITS INFLUENCE ON SALES IN SHIVAMOGGA DISTRICT
Abstract
Abstract: The study's primary goals are to determine how sustainable marketing strategies affect the sales performance of organized food and beverage outlets in Shivamogga District. The marketing of eco-friendly food and beverages is introduced in the food processing industry to protect the Environment by involving people in making a profit for the marketing of eco-friendly food and beverages leading to protecting planet and mankind. These initiatives must be integrated with the marketing strategies with a practical perspective, especially in food and beverage selling outlets in Shivamogga. There are more than 700 organized food and beverage selling outlets. There were 100 organized food and beverage selling outlets selected for the survey purpose as per the convenience of the researcher. All the 100 outlets were targeted to collect the data during the survey, which shows the response rate is 100%. It is found that, attitude of responsible business, environmental protection, implementation of green marketing, sustainable business techniques, eco-friendly branding, online sales and services, outlet surroundings, outlet’s brand management, unique selling strategies, business “go green” concepts, reusable products and concern towards customer’s health have found significant with sales performance of organized food and beverage selling outlets in Shivamogga District.
