Abstract

This research delves into the pivotal role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) and Cottage Industries in driving economic growth in Assam, a northeastern state of India. As a region with immense cultural and economic diversity, Assam presents a unique landscape for studying the dynamics of small scale enterprises.Through a comprehensive analysis of the current economic scenario, government policies and the challenges faced by these enterprises, this study aims to shed light on the strategies necessary for empowering prosperity at the grassroots level.By understanding the intricate interplay between MSMEs, cottage industries and economic growth, this research seeks to provide actionable insights for policy makers, enterprises and stakeholders invested in the sustainable development of Assam’s Economy.
