Analysis of Vitamin E (Tocopherols) using Normal Phase HPLC from common cultivars of Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.)
Abstract
Peanut is the world's most important edible oil crop, and its kernel contains the highest levels of vitamin E among edible oil seeds. Among tocochromonals, tocopherols alone play a substantial role in immune responses and several other metabolisms. Additionally, it tends to be a healthy diet for human consumption, while also protecting lipids against oxidation which in turn helps to extend the shelf-life of edible oils.
