Abstract

Abstract: - The identity concerns of South Asians living abroad are examined in this essay. It discusses the theoretical and methodological arguments surrounding cultural and identity processes in the modern era of transnationalism and globalization. It explores the writings of authors from the South Asian Diaspora, following the power dynamics in the direction of critical alternatives that appreciate and acknowledge the similarities and accommodations of people and groups. These writers of the South Asian Diaspora tackle topics like racism, the experience of displacement, the process of transculturation, interpersonal conflicts, and more. The ambiguities and complexity present in ideas of race, class, ethnicity, and identity are reflected in their writings about immigrant experience and otherness. In South Asian Diaspora Studies, the current research explores this path from ideological construction to identity development.
