Impact of Demographic Diversities on Individual Investment Behaviour: A Study of Delhi-NCR
Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to investigate whether there is any association between demographic characteristics such as age, gender, occupation, and income level of individual investors with their investment preferences during COVID-19. In this study, we used survey research methods and collected data from November 2022 to March 2023 of 354 respondents by using a structured questionnaire. We analyzed it with the help of the SPSS 29.0 version. We used the descriptive analysis and Chi-square test to test the hypothesis. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is no significant association between the age of the respondents and the investment preference. Further, this study reveals that, although age has no impact on investment preferences, there is a significant association between gender, income level, and occupation of the respondents with their investment preferences in Delhi-NCR.
