The Role of Organizational Environment in Shaping Stress Among Bank Employees in Chandrapur: A Comparative Study
Abstract
The objective of the present research paper is the analysis of occupational stress among bank employees in Chandrapur, considering the organizational environment of public and private sector banks. The research objectives are to establish the extent of work related stress in the two sectors and determine ways in which work culture, leadership practices, role definition, job requirements and worker interactions, play a role in the level of stress. An explorative research design was employed for the study The study adopted a mixed method approach both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from 90 employees in the public sector and 90 in private sector banks The data was collected using structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews.
