BITS E – HOSTEL SYSTEM USING PHP & MYSQL

Abstract

The BITS E - Hostel System Project in PHP is designed to streamline hostel bookings and management. This web application enables students to register, book rooms, and view their booking details conveniently online. Key features include separate panels for students and administrators, ensuring a secure and organized booking experience. Students can select rooms based on availability, specify stay durations, and review fees, while the system automatically verifies seat availability.In the admin panel, administrators have full control over system functionalities, including managing student registrations, hostel rooms, bookings, and course information. Admins can input room details such as room number, seating capacity, and pricing. They can also register students, manage courses, and access detailed records of hostel residents. Additionally, administrators can perform bookings on behalf of students if needed.The system prevents double-booking by validating room availability and includes a dashboard designed with Bootstrap and Vanilla CSS for ease of navigation. This project provides a practical, user-friendly platform for managing hostel operations while offering valuable learning resources in PHP and MySQL. Key features include student registration, room booking, record management, and a responsive, intuitive user interface.
