Abstract

This research looks at the economic and geographical developments in Delhi's Trans-Yamuna area, which is quickly urbanising and has seen substantial changes in land use and occupational patterns during the last 20 years. The study examines how urban growth has changed the physical environment by substituting residential, commercial, and industrial constructions for historic agricultural areas via a geographic perspective. The research finds important elements driving these shifts by using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, such as surveys to collect socio-economic data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for geographical mapping.
