Navigating Privacy in the Digital Age: A Comprehensive Analysis of Challenges and Legal Frameworks on Social Media Platforms (2008-2024)
Abstract
Purpose: This paper examines the right to privacy with a focus on the challenges and issues posed by social media platforms. Design/Methodology/Approach: Utilizing a bibliometric analysis approach, the study collects data from various academic databases and employs tools like RStudio and VOSviewer to identify key trends, patterns, and relationships within the literature. Findings: The study highlights significant contributions, identifies gaps for future research, and provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape on privacy issues related to social media. Originality/Value: This paper offers a detailed synthesis of existing research, proposing strategies for mitigating privacy risks and enhancing legal frameworks.
