Enacted in 2012, the Act outlines specific offenses, procedures for reporting, investigation, and trial, with a primary focus on the protection and well-being of minors. This abstract explores the key provisions of the POCSO Act and its role as a shield against sexual abuse. It highlights the Act's significance in providing a comprehensive legal mechanism, stringent penalties for offenders, and a victim-centric approach.
