Abstract

Abstract: This research explores the integration of mechanical engineering techniques in advancing food processing technologies to enhance nutritional value. The study addresses the growing need for improved food processing methods that preserve and enhance nutrient content while ensuring sustainability and efficiency. By integrating advanced mechanical engineering principles with innovative food processing technologies, this research aims to bridge the gap between engineering practices and nutritional science. The focus is on optimizing mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, mixers, and extruders to improve nutrient retention, reduce processing times, and minimize energy consumption. Experimental investigations and simulations are employed to evaluate the performance of these systems under various conditions. The results indicate significant improvements in the preservation of essential nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, through refined mechanical processing techniques. This research highlights the potential of mechanical engineering to contribute to the development of more efficient and nutritionally effective food processing technologies, ultimately benefiting both consumers and the food industry.
