Abstract

The process of hybridizing the probe leads in the formation of a new DNA fragment profile that is distinct from the first one. Marking the probe with a radioactive isotope or using nonradioactive stains such as fluorescein or digoxigenin. The restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) technique involves hybridizing a Southern blot that contains restriction endonuclease digested DNA with a chemically labeled DNA probe in order to determine DNA polymorphism.
