Abstract

Accesstofinancialservicesiswidelyrecognizedasavitalcatalystforglobaleconomicdevelopmentandpovertyreduction.Inthiseraofdigitaltransformation,theconceptoffinancialinclusionhasundergonevariouschanges,withdigitaltechnologiesassumingapivotalroleinextendingfinancialservicestohistoricallyunderservedcommunities.Thissystematicliteraturereviewconductsacomprehensiveanalysisoftheexistingcorpusofresearchdedicatedtodigitalfinancialinclusion,sheddinglightonprominenttrends,knowledgegaps,andemergingthemesinthefield.EmployingthePRISMAreviewmethodology,weexecutedasystematicliteraturereview(SLR)withaspecificfocusondigitalfinancialinclusion.ThisSLRsuccessfullyidentifiedandexamined30relevantstudiesspanningtheperiodfrom2015to2022,sourcedfromreputabledatabasessuchasScopus.Thefindingsderivedfromthisreviewunderscorethatasubstantialportionoftheselectedstudiessoughttoestablishafoundationalunderstandinrelatedtodigitalfinancialinclusion.Moreover,theinsightsgeneratedbythisresearchoffervaluableguidancetoscholarsinterestedindelvingdeeperintotherealmofdigitalfinancialinclusin.
